Segmentum Gammarus Concha.
More commonly known as the Frentilik [pronounced: fren-till-ick] for reasons unknown.
Pale greeniish brown or teal-brown; long, cylindrical body covered in a segmented encrusted shell that protects the outer surface of the abdomen region; the underbelly remains exposed to prevent damage and harm, the body curls into a ball, allowing the hard shell to cover the vulnerable sections; dwells deep under the sea surface at a depth exceeding 8,000 feet; feeds on bacterium and algae that thrive at such levels; is born with four ocelli [eyespots] which permits visual abilities that are capable of distinguishing the source and the change of light. but not capable of forming an image.
Children sometimes refer to them as a "Mermaid Cat" due to its cat-like size and shape. Adults choose to believe that they are nothing more than characters from their children's books.
